Today is my last day of freedom – until the weekend, I could not have planned going back to work better! I spent today in our co-op booths and FINALLY able to work on my art area in our Roller Mills Co-Op, when we started my “Art Corner” I thought I had a badass amount of art on the shelf, but it looked NAKED when I went in today, after touring many different co-ops with their own “art corners” I have taken my own spin on what I like and don’t like. I saw some cramped spots that I had to dig through – I didn’t like that it made the art stick together and made me actually take the time to fix the shelf. I also found some scarce selves (like mine at home) and it made me want to go in and beef up mine with more and more paintings! I also saw some CRAPPY paintings for REALLY REALLY high prices. and yeah I am not Van Gogh but I know that and don’t over sell my shit! If I don’t think a painting is worth more than $10 I’m not going to charge you more than that. I don’t want my shit sitting forever just because I want to get as much out of it as possible you can ALWAYS create something – but you need space to put it somewhere.. and space costs money. I have been artistic since I can remember I just never realized it until I got older, now I would hope people like my stuff – I’m relatively new to trying to sell my art I’ll be trying a flea market here soon!
