Looking Back But Pressing Forward.
I can’t believe today I’ve been with my soulmate for 4 incredible years. Like every “normal” couple we’ve had some rocky moments that we weren’t sure we could make it through because we both have managed to do dumb as shit things throughout the 4 years, I feel like I do more dumb shit that he does sometimes. But somehow he still loves me through it. I still get butterflies when I haven’t seen him in a long time, and I love the way he smells – yep after 4 years! We’ve lived together from jump and are eachothers best friend which makes being in love that much easier. I have had countless friends that break up and get back together over and over although I get that they have issues but work them out without the break up? Brent and I broke up for a total of 2 hours once, if you can count that – I don’t because it was such a menial time period and over something ridiculous. Neither of us have spent the night apart angry and considered it a “break up”. Most fights are over the give and take of life, you just have to flow with it. Take one for the team so to speak – its almost like a fulltime job having a significant other. I wouldn’t change my time with him for the world.
So now that I reflected on our past – I’m going to jump to the future, where do I see myself in 6 years? Whether I am married or not still with Brent. Will I have kids? At this stage in my life I don’t know – I have too many health issues to even begin to tell you if I could even produce spawn, let alone if we really need something small running around behind us. Do you really love him, like seriously? YES. WITH ALL OF MY HEART. I have NEVER felt this way about anyone, thing or object in my life. I can’t say I ever will again. I’ve said before that my life is nothing like “The Notebook” but that is because I’m writing my own fairytale – I’m just not sure how it ends yet. Stay tuned to see how my Prince Charming swept me off my feet! ;]
Get Close, Even Closer.
I think every girl needs a friend that will bring her underwear during emergency situations! There are always things that go wrong in life and well sometimes you just need someone who has underwear with your name on them just in case you need them. I have a friend like this that I can depend on when shit goes wrong she always has my back, even if I need undies! You all need someone like this in your life!
My Own Little American Pie.
I don’t know about you guys but I have friends like this – not that we started a band or anything but we had summers that lasted forever. :] I think back on my summers from 8th grade through the summer before I moved to State College and they were definitely the best summers of my life! I made so many memories – and defined who I am today through my encounters with the most random people, now that I’m old my favorite time of year is still summer but its way different because I don’t get the summer off like I did in school to do whatever bullshit I wanted to get into with whomever I wanted to get into it with. I experimented with so many dumb things – went to concerts and just lounged with my friends for summers on end! And our crew was like the American Pie crew we stuck together like glue, and today if we have issues we know we can call each other and we’ll talk it out – because we’ve all moved far enough away from home that its not possible to run to Torrie’s basement and just figure out our problems! I miss you guys – and will love you all, we need our own American Reunion ;]
(I’m even including my EX best friend in my AWESOME summers because we had some great summers together, we were thick as thieves until recently SHOCKER!) ;]
My summers now – are spent much more relaxing with Brent and work I get a lot more accomplished and LOVE every minute of my time with him, as we age things change I accepted that long ago but I would never trade how I grew up for anything!

This was a plain piece of apple pie – I had to jazz it up with some pineapple and fresh strawberries and Brent threw in a cookie! Its completely horrible for you, but yummy!
